Etsy ruling feared to affect Indigenous sellers

BROOKLYN, N.Y.-A new ruling by Etsy has distressed Native American and First Nation sellers. In an email sent by Etsy to sellers in April, the company announced that it will ban the sale of all animal fur products, including raw pelts, finished garments, and accessories starting in August 11, 2026, claiming the move is part of "ongoing biodiversity efforts."
