New partnership puts First Nations at the table on wildfire strategy

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask.-The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA), Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) and Meadow Lake Tribal Council (MLTC) are strengthening their shared commitment to wildfire preparedness, prevention, response and recovery through a new memorandum of understanding (MOU).

The MOU, signed today in Prince Albert, formalizes an ongoing partnership and establishes a framework for First Nations leadership and knowledge to help inform wildfire planning and strategy in Saskatchewan.
