Like a lot of native families, we grew up around a lot of family outside of a small town, ours was in Oklahoma. And so growing up, I think I had around 35 first cousins on one side of the family.
During that time, my grandma raised at least half her grandkids. One of the things that I've noticed throughout the years is how important the family is to the Lord. As native people, we talk about generations. Now I look back and see how important family is.
