Starting a new year, 2026, we look forward with anticipation as we consider the doors that are open for Intertribal Life Ministries.
We’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on why we do what we do. What various endeavors are Intertribal Life Ministries involved in, and why are we involved in them?
Simply put, the love of Christ compels us. When Jesus walked this earth, He was intentional about truly seeing people. About looking beyond what he could see with his eyes, and going deeper, into the heart of the matter, teaching others to do likewise. As we reflect on this, we consider the relationships that the Lord has continued to allow us to develop, and the fruit of those relationships.
On January 1, we launched the new Council Fire podcast, and will continue to work on it, ensuring each daily podcast launches for the rest of the year! Check out the new website at councilfire365.org.
On January 23–26, we, the director team; Todd and Krystal Wawrzyniak, along with board member Rochelle Creasy (along with her husband Chris Creasy) and many others, will travel to Garden Hill, Man., to work together in hosting the first testimony conference of 2026!
On February 6–8, board members Becky Kew, Rochelle Creasy and Laurie Wood-Ducharme will attend Missionfest Manitoba in Winnipeg, to promote the ministry and share how the Lord is moving within Indigenous communities across Canada and the United States.
On March 13–15, the director team, along with ILM’s board chair, Conrad Flett (and his wife Florence), will be heading to Sioux Lookout, Ont., to work alongside the local church to host the second testimony conference of the year!
In April, we will be back in Mînî Thnî, Alb. to cohost another Easter Gospel Outreach with the local followers of Jesus Christ, and then, a few weeks later, we are hosting a Dessert Night Fundraiser in Calgary, Alb. Stay tuned for more details on both of these exciting events.
And then May 14–17, the Native Youth Conference is happening, and members of the ILM team have the privilege to work alongside the committee to host this exciting event annually.
Why do we do what we do? Because Jesus Christ came to Earth for all people, that all might know Him, from every tribe, people, tongue and nation, to the glory of Creator God the Father.
